QLD, Gladstone Aquatic Centre – Gladstone 4680
We are looking for an up‐coming people leader to coach, inspire and lead from the front. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on initiative, ownership and building strong foundations following a successful transition.
Gladstone Aquatic Centre is a multi‐use aquatic facility supporting a diverse and engaged community. The venue includes an outdoor 50m 8‐lane pool, an indoor heated 25m 5‐lane pool, and family‐friendly tots and splash pad zero‐depth water areas. The Centre delivers "learntoswim" programs, aquatic memberships, and works closely with contract partners including Council, swim clubs, physiotherapy and health care services, as well as managing group and sessional bookings.

Key Accountabilities
* Ensure the safety and well‐being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes and procedures.
* Coach and develop leaders to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning and individual development plans.
* Lead and drive a high‐performance, community‐minded culture through highly visible and hands‐on leadership and team engagement.
* Achieve budgeted performance targets.
* Maintain a high‐value relationship with the local Council.
* Recruit energetic and passionate employees to compliment the team and the vision for the Venue.
* Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.
About You
You will be an up‐coming leader who drives with vision and energy. You are passionate about leisure, wanting to join a growing organisation. You will be able to share insights into how you have successfully shaped high‐performance teams into business actions, and can easily articulate the link between employee engagement and exceptional business performance.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum 2 years' experience in managing similar‐sized dynamic teams.
* Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.
* Willing to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificate, National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
* Legal working rights in Australia.
