About the opportunity
The Emergency Department at Werribee Mercy Hospital is recruiting Registered Nurses to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care, in collaboration with Deakin University. The role includes ongoing clinical support at the bedside and specialized education, providing an opportunity for professional growth within a supportive environment. By joining our team, you will develop a strong clinical understanding and ability to collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive high‐quality care. You will gain a nationally recognised postgraduate qualification in critical care, learn to think critically, quickly and calmly in a range of emergency situations, and gain invaluable hands‐on experience and knowledge with the support of our dedicated Education Team. Ongoing employment upon successful completion of the course.
What you'll bring
* Current unrestricted registration as RN Division 1 with APHRA.
* A minimum of 6 months registered nursing experience in the Emergency Department or an equivalent acute setting.
* Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Critical‐thinking ability and demonstration in prioritising patients' care.
* Commitment to furthering knowledge and continuing professional development.
Additional requirements
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
