As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with spinal cord damage or other physical disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Occupational Therapist - Enhancing Independence and Quality of Life
You will work closely with clients to identify their strengths and goals, and develop tailored plans to address their challenges and barriers.
This role involves:
* Assessing clients' needs and abilities to inform equipment and assistive technology recommendations
* Providing education and training to clients and their carers on safe and effective use of equipment and assistive technology
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
* Managing client caseloads to deliver optimal outcomes
* Contributing to service improvement initiatives to enhance client experiences and outcomes
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Current registration with AHPRA
* Experience working with individuals with spinal cord damage or other physical disabilities (desired but not required)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
* NDIS worker screening and Blue card (current or applicable)
