About this opportunity:
As Operations Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day venue and event operations. You'll coordinate logistics for functions and events, manage equipment and deliveries, and lead a dedicated team to maintain the highest standards across all areas of the venue. Your hands-on approach will be vital in event setups, stock management, and supporting both indoor and outdoor events, including those at BB Print Stadium.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage daily deliveries (food, beverage, event materials, waste, recycling, etc.)
* Oversee logistics for event equipment and vehicles (forklifts, utility carts, pallet jacks, trolleys)
* Lead and support event setups, pack-downs, and venue changeovers
* Supervise and motivate the Operations team, Cleaners, and Function Support Officers
* Maintain clean, organised, and functional front-of-house and back-of-house spaces
* Manage stock levels and vendor orders
* Perform minor maintenance on venue equipment and storage areas
* Support outdoor event operations, including line marking and equipment logistics
* Step in with general cleaning tasks as needed
What You'll Need
* QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence
* Forklift High Risk Work Licence (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience handling deliveries, including loading/unloading and receipting goods
* Experience in commercial cleaning and safe use of cleaning chemicals
Desirable:
* QLD First Aid Certificate
* Chief Warden or Building Warden Accreditation
* Elevated Work Platform High Risk Work Licence
* Experience in a similar role within an entertainment venue, hospitality, or warehouse environment
* Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop a small team
