Ballarat Emergency Department Registrar – Multiple Positions | Full time & Part Time
We are seeking Registrars to join the Emergency Department at Grampians Health – Ballarat Campus. These positions offer excellent training opportunities, including rotations through ICU, anaesthetics, and other specialty departments.
The Emergency Department has
* A main department of 19 beds
* Fast-track
* Paediatric ED (5 beds)
* Short Stay Unit (12 beds)
* Front of house model
* Resuscitation areas (3 bays)
Our hospital is being redeveloped and a new Emergency Department will open early 2028.
We manage over 60,000 presentations annually, including approximately 25% paediatric cases, with an increasing admission rate of 24–25%.

About You
We are looking for motivated and dynamic doctors who
* Demonstrate a strong team focus
* Possess excellent communication skills
* Have a genuine interest in developing Emergency Medicine skills
* Value patient‐centred care and collaborative practice
Candidates should ideally be working towards or eligible for registration with Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) or have a strong interest in pursuing Emergency Medicine training. At a minimum, applicants must hold General Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
