Overview

IEPro are working with a respected civil contractor to recruit an experienced Safety Advisor to support infrastructure projects across Queensland.

This opportunity sits within a business delivering a diverse range of civil construction projects with a strong focus on safety, culture, and operational excellence. The role will support project teams across multiple sites, ensuring safety systems are effectively implemented and maintained throughout project delivery.

This position offers a FIFO/DIDO lifestyle with a typical 5:2 roster and would suit a proactive safety professional who enjoys building relationships with site teams and driving positive safety outcomes.

As Safety Advisor, you will work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, and operational teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, and company requirements.

You will be a visible presence on site, supporting frontline personnel while helping maintain safe and productive project environments.

The Role

The Role

In this role, you will:

* Support the implementation and maintenance of project safety systems
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations
* Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
* Deliver safety coaching, mentoring, and awareness initiatives
* Support project teams with risk assessments and safe work planning
* Monitor compliance with company procedures and legislative requirements
* Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
* Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across project teams
About You

About You

To succeed, you will bring:

* Previous experience in a Safety Advisor role within civil construction or infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
* Experience working closely with operational and site delivery teams
* Ability to build relationships and influence positive safety behaviours
* Strong communication and reporting skills
* A practical and hands-on approach to safety management
* Relevant safety qualifications and current construction industry certifications
