Your Team Responsibilities
MSCI Index Sales Specialists are responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and new business development for all MSCI Index products. Each person travels within their respective sales territory to meet with clients regarding new products and enhancements to existing products. This role focuses on positioning and closing sales for MSCI's standard and custom index subscription data, licenses for research reporting, and issuance of MSCI-linked financial products, with a focus on the Hedge Fund Segment. Sales are made to current and prospective clients using knowledge of various client departments locally and globally to position MSCI.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Total relationship management involving high-level management contact, strategic planning with an account, new product placement, and answering detailed client inquiries about MSCI products and methodologies.
* Achieve targeted revenue goals.
* Inform clients about MSCI products, announcements, and projects.
* Participate in some travel as required.
* Work with global departments (Client Service, Legal, Contracts, Billing, Marketing, Product Management & Operations) to ensure all client requests and inquiries are managed appropriately.
* Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts, etc.
* Proactively solicit client feedback on new initiatives and future product development.
* Provide client feedback to Marketing, Sales, Research, and Product Development groups.
Your Skills and Experience
* Understanding of major international institutions such as Asset Managers, Superannuation/Pension Plans, Consultants, Hedge Funds, Brokers/Dealers, and knowledge of the Investment Management Process and global equity markets.
* Strong sales closing skills.
* Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work individually and within a team.
* Enjoys intellectual and analytical challenges.
* Superior communication skills, including fluency in English (other local languages are a plus).
