OverviewJoin a client's leading organisation as an Inventory Lead within their Commercial team in a permanent role.
This position is accountable for overseeing a high-value materials portfolio, setting strategy to optimise service, control costs, and drive smarter supply decisions.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers, leading continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring inventory practices align with business priorities and long-term objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn a large-scale materials portfolio, setting and delivering replenishment strategies that balance cost, service, and operational efficiency.Act as the strategic subject matter expert across end-to-end supply chain processes, providing guidance and mentoring to the team.Develop and implement forward-thinking inventory strategies that minimise investment while protecting service levels.Build and manage supplier relationships, driving performance through KPIs and ensuring reliable, timely delivery.Lead initiatives to streamline operations and improve commercial outcomes through continuous improvement.Utilise advanced systems and data to refine inventory processes and enhance decision-making capability.Contribute to strategic sourcing activities and represent inventory interests during tenders and major projects.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and proactive problem-solving across the team.Skills, Experience and AttributesDemonstrated background in inventory or supply chain management at a senior level.Proven experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.Robust understanding of replenishment models and inventory optimisation.Analytical and data-driven approach to decision making.Experience designing, implementing, and improving inventory planning systems.Highly developed relationship-building skills with the ability to adapt to change.Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or related discipline.Diversity, Equity & InclusionHudson is committed to helping you find a workplace where you feel respected, supported, and free to thrive.
