About the Role
We are entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation and are seeking a senior finance leader to join our newly created role of Head of Finance. This critical appointment will lead our finance team across ANZ, ensuring excellence in financial reporting, tax compliance, governance, and digital transformation.
You will take ownership of the organisation’s accounting and governance, leading month-end and year-end reporting, statutory accounts, and audits, while ensuring compliance with AASB, IFRS, and company policies. You will play a key role in strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks, while overseeing all aspects of tax management, including compliance, lodgements, and providing expert advice on planning, transactions, transfer pricing, and M&A.;
You will be responsible for building and leading the internal audit framework, identifying gaps and implementing improvements to ensure strong financial integrity. In addition, you will support the VP Finance in delivering the finance digital transformation roadmap - driving automation, process optimisation, and the adoption of modern systems.
Your remit will extend to FP&A;, where you will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across business units and projects. You will deliver consolidated results, provide EBIT valuations and macro-environment analysis, and partner closely with senior leaders and project teams to guide strategic decision-making. A focus on continuous improvement will see you enhance systems, streamline processes, and unlock cost-saving opportunities.
As a trusted leader, you will develop and mentor a high-performing accounting and tax team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About You
You are CA/CPA qualified with 10 years senior finance experience, including at least five years in a senior leadership role. In addition, you bring:
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, corporate tax legislation, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading external audits, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.
- Proven capability in designing and embedding internal audit or control frameworks.
- Experience delivering digital transformation within finance functions.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Background in complex, multi-entity or multinational organisations
