As a Residential Care Worker, you are one of the most influential people in a young person's life, providing around-the-clock care to those in need.

What Your Daily Tasks Will Include
Some of your tasks may include:
* Building positive relationships with young people and your fellow team members.
* Following a routine developed specifically for a young person's needs.
* Transporting young people to and from school, day programs and appointments.
* Completing activities and enjoying mealtimes together.
* Assisting in the implementation of programs designed for growth and development of young people.
* Completing summary notes.
* Helping create a safe and homely environment for young people to live in and enjoy.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential criteria:
* Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment).
* Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID003).
* National Police Check.
* International Police Check for applicants who have lived continuously for 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years.
* A current driver's licence.
* Willingness to participate in a Worker/Carer Exclusion Scheme Check.
* Current NDIS Worker Check.
Required Qualifications
For this role, you must hold:
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention; or
* A recognised relevant qualification.
In addition, all residential care workers must complete the three mandatory units of competency: CHCMHS007 – Work effectively in trauma informed care, CHCPRT009 – Provide primary residential care, and CHCCCS009 – Facilitate responsible behaviour.
