About the role
The Assistant Store Manager assists in managing day‐to‐day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You'll support, coach, and motivate the store team and foster a collaborative work environment.
Key responsibilities
* Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints to ensure a positive experience.
* Assist in monitoring stock levels, managing inventory, placing orders, and keeping the store well‐stocked and organized.
* Focus on profitability while managing costs, expenses and waste.
* Thrive in a fast‐paced, compliance‐driven setting while balancing competing priorities.
* Execute our convenience retail strategy.
* Be flexible to work weekends and overnights as required.
Qualifications
* Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
* Ability to operate POS and handle cash accurately.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility to work across a 7‐day roster, including nights and weekends.
