About the role
As the Business Partner People & Culture at Ernest Henry, you will play a critical role in partnering with leaders to support workforce planning and build an engaged and capable workforce across site. Reporting to the Superintendent – People & Culture, you will work closely with leaders to support day-to-day matters, providing guidance on policies, processes and employee relations while driving practical outcomes. You will combine strong generalist P&C capability with a hands‐on approach, supporting both operational and strategic priorities while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities
* Partnering with leaders to implement P&C strategies
* Providing advice on performance management and workforce planning
* Supporting employee relations and industrial relations matters
* Contributing to reporting and workforce insights
* Supporting onboarding, employee experience and offboarding processes
* Maintaining HR systems and data accuracy
* Supporting budget and workforce planning activities
* Driving continuous improvement across P&C processes
About you
You are an experienced P&C professional with strong generalist capability and a passion for supporting leaders and improving workforce outcomes. You bring a practical, hands‐on approach, enjoy building relationships and are comfortable working in an operational environment.
Required skills and experience
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar
* Experience in a generalist HR or P&C role
* Exposure to employee relations and enterprise agreements
* Experience working in a site‐based or industrial environment
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to influence and support leaders
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills
