Calvary Mater Newcastle Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time Positions. Permanent Full-Time / Part-Time positions. Salary Classification: Registered Nurse Year 1 - 8. Remuneration: $36.39 to $51.09 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options. The role involves providing safe, effective and appropriate care in a patient-focused ambulatory care environment. The Registered Nurse will have the opportunity to work across the Medical Centre, Radiation Oncology and the Day Treatment Centre. Experience in an acute care setting, willingness to undertake professional development and training, and an interest in cancer care are desired.

Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of patients.
* Ensure timely, complete and accurate documentation of nursing care and patients' progress in the medical record and communicate with other team members.
* Plan appropriate care in consultation with the patient and multidisciplinary team.
* Identify and implement discharge-planning requirements.
* Prioritise and implement planned care to achieve expected outcomes of established priorities.
* Evaluate patient progress and revise nursing interventions where required.
* Operate in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practice.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 12 months recent experience in cancer nursing or an acute care setting.
* Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing or similar or willingness to work towards.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and in periods of high demand and activity.
* Demonstrated computer literacy.
* Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.
