Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site General Practitioner role based in Kingaroy, QLD. The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions across all age groups. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, performing routine examinations and procedures, ordering and interpreting investigations, and developing management plans. The role also involves preventive health care, immunisations, care planning, medication reviews, and chronic disease management in coordination with nursing and allied health teams. The General Practitioner will maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to quality improvement activities, provide clinical guidance to other team members where appropriate, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
* Strong clinical foundation in Medicine and Primary Care, with experience managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
* Competence in Family Medicine, including care for individuals across the lifespan and support for families and diverse communities.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing and other clinical staff to provide coordinated, patient‑centered care.
* Commitment to Training and ongoing professional development, including participation in teaching, supervision, or mentoring where relevant.
* Current medical degree and appropriate registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant Australian medical board.
* Experience in general practice or community health settings, preferably in regional or rural environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on cultural safety, inclusivity, and patient education.
* Strong organisational skills, professional integrity, and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
