About the role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at the Colmslie Hotel in Morningside, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
* Assisting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in the preparation, cooking and presentation of a diverse range of dishes from our menu
* Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen
* Carrying out allocated kitchen tasks efficiently and to a high standard
* Participating in the rotation of kitchen duties and responsibilities
* Contributing ideas and suggestions to develop and enhance our menu offerings
* Ensuring a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment at all times
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent industry experience
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Enthusiasm for creating innovative and delicious dishes
