An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our newly established Brisbane Distribution Centre. This role will oversee day-to-day inbound and outbound activity of the warehousing and inventory functions and fulfill the strategic longer-term inventory directives for the Boart Longyear Drilling Products business.
Day‐to‐day responsibilities
* Direct and control all warehousing and inventory functions to optimise the utilisation of the Brisbane Distribution Centre.
* Oversee the selection and training of warehouse staff and delegating responsibilities to the team.
* Lead and promote a safety culture through managing the warehouse EHS Safety Management Plan.
* Perform / oversee the following functions:
o Inventory cycle counting, stock takes, claims, variance resolution and all other inventory management tasks.
o Supervise the process of inbound and outbound goods for control and efficiency.
o Supervise the picking and packing process, for both timeliness and accuracy.
* Manage claims, identity root cause, perform analysis and take the corresponding action to reduce occurrences.
* Coordinate with internal customers for order prioritisation and management of transportation.
* Plan, evaluate, distribute and develop the warehouse team's activities to achieve set goals and targets.
* Provide timely shipping and transportation documentation back to all customers.
* Promote a culture of compliance in line with our Legal and Corporate Policy requirements.
Qualifications and requirements
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in warehousing and inventory management.
* Previous leadership experience.
* Strong problem solving, interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Highly developed verbal communication skills.
* Strong working knowledge of the inventory lifecycle.
* Result‐driven and customer‐service focus at all times.
