About the role:
We have afull-time Team Leaderrole available in Bathurst within ourAccommodation Division. Our Accommodation Division offers support to individuals living with disability, in a diverse range of housing options, that meets the individuals needs. As a Team Leader, you'll supervise the smooth operations of group homes, with participants that require 24/7 care. We'll support you along your carer journey and give you the opportunity to develop into the best leader you can be.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading a team of passionate Disability Support Workers and empower them to provide high quality supports to participants
Communicating with families, guardians and a variety of stakeholders as required to discuss participants progress and barriers
Assisting participants with daily tasks such as personal care, health and hygienewhile making their dignity and independence a top priority
Assisting participants to work towards achieving their goals and aspirations
Supporting and guiding Disability Support Workers to develop their knowledge and skills
Maintaining compliance with participant and staff records within your area of responsibility
Maintaining the day-to-day roster schedule and filling shifts as required within your area of responsibility
Foster a culture of inclusion, respect and continuous improvement
Are You Our Ideal Candidate? We're looking for someone with the following:
Previous leadership experience within disability- extremelydesirable
Previous leadership experience- highly desirable
Understanding of the NDIS and achieving person centred outcomes
Strong computer skills and experience using data management systems
First Aid Certificate
NDIS Worker Check
Working with Children Check
Current Driver's Licence
Positive and professional attitude and approach to work
