Role description
Permanent Drainage Engineer or Senior Drainage Engineer role has opened in our Victorian Civil Infrastructure team to support continued growth in our sector. You will be part of an experienced team dedicated to excellence in design of drainage and flood management. Your work will heavily involve supporting a wide variety of civil engineering projects, including highways, bridges, rail, ports / maritime, and aviation.
Role accountabilities
* Contribute to the delivery of drainage designs on various projects from road upgrades to complex billion-dollar infrastructure projects
* Provide technical design expertise for drainage and stormwater quality systems, including piped networks and major transverse drainage structures
* Coordinate and verify designs with project teams working across multiple offices, including our international design hubs and other engineering disciplines
* Embrace and promote a leading digital work environment and delivery culture
* Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
Qualification & Experience
* Experience in several facets of the project lifecycle from tendering and concept design through to construction
* Demonstrated self-management; the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes
* Experience working on major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
* Knowledge of DTP standards
* Proven skills with drainage software such as 12D. DRAINS experience highly regarded.
* The desire to work collaboratively in a high performing team environment
* Ability to work flexibly (remotely and/or on-site as required)
* Demonstrated experience on Australian infrastructure/engineering projects
* Flood modelling experience will be highly valued, but not essential
