About the Company:
Join a well-established and reputable food manufacturer based in Liverpool, NSW, known for producing high-quality food products. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic team. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility by maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting our machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes to prevent downtime.
3. Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce the risk of breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
4. Install, modify, and upgrade equipment as required to improve operational efficiency.
5. Work closely with other Maintenance Fitters and the production team to address any mechanical issues that may impact production.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
7. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements, including food safety regulations.
8. Assist in equipment overhauls and planned shutdowns as needed.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce downtime.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Trade qualification in Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, ideally within the food manufacturing or industrial sector.
3. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
4. Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues efficiently.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
7. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
8. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
9. Availability to work on day shifts, 6am to 2pm.
