Overview
Macrobert Arts Centre is recruiting for a part-time Head of Finance to lead the Finance department and support the Artistic Director/CEO. The primary focus of this role is the delivery of effective day to day financial management, forward business planning and stakeholder reporting on the work of Macrobert Arts Centre (MAC). This role is also responsible for general HR, ensuring administrative compliance with Company policies relating to staff management and contracting. The Head of Finance will work closely with the Artistic Director/CEO on strategic business management, with the Finance Officer on day to day operations. This role is part of the Management Team.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Finance department and support the Artistic Director/CEO in strategic finance decisions.
* Deliver day-to-day financial management, forward business planning and stakeholder reporting on the work of Macrobert Arts Centre (MAC).
* Oversee general HR and ensure administrative compliance with Company policies relating to staff management and contracting.
* Collaborate with the Artistic Director/CEO on strategic business management and with the Finance Officer on day-to-day operations.
* Be a member of the Management Team.
Details
* Deadline for submission of application: Wednesday 24th June 2026 at 5pm.
* Interviews will be held at Macrobert Arts Centre on Tuesday 30th June 2026.
* Start Date: Ideally Summer 2026 – subject to availability.
* Salary: £48,000 FTE (pro-rata £24,000 at 0.5FTE)
* Holidays: 30 days per year including statutory/public/bank holidays (pro-rata 15 days per year TA 0.5FTE)
* Hours: Part-time, 17.5hrs p/w during standard office hours with the working days pattern subject to agreement.
* Location: The role is office-based at Macrobert Arts Centre (MAC). An element of hybrid working may be possible.
