Social Media and Content Manager – Showtime Event Group
Reports to: Senior Marketing and Communications Manager
Introduction
Showtime Event Group (SEG) is hiring a Social Media and Content Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the social media strategy and execution across all SEG's channels while creating premium content to drive commercial outcomes.
Position Purpose
Own and execute SEG's social media presence and content output across all venues and business units. The role is responsible for planning, capturing and coordinating high‐quality content that supports campaigns, sales activity, brand positioning and audience growth across digital platforms. The role works closely with Marketing, Digital, Sales, Planning and Operations teams to ensure content is strategically aligned, commercially relevant and reflective of SEG's premium market positioning.
Core Responsibilities
* Social Media & Content Management
o Manage SEG and venue social media channels across relevant platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube
o Develop and implement social media content calendar aligned with marketing campaigns, venue priorities and seasonal demand
o Copywrite across all channels in Showtime Event Group tone of voice and adapt it to suit different audience segments
o Maintain a consistent, premium and commercially aligned brand presence across all channels
o Monitor and report on social media performance providing data‐driven insights and recommendations to improve content, engagement and commercial results
o Identify opportunities for audience growth, influencer collaboration and user‐generated content
o Manage online community interactions and provide timely responses across all digital channels
o Work closely with the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, Digital Marketing Manager and Sales teams to align content activity to campaign priorities, target markets and venue growth opportunities
o Support campaign activations across organic, paid and digital channels
o Ensure content supports broader business development and sales objectives
* Content Planning & Coordination
o Maintain visibility across upcoming SEG events and proactively identify content opportunities and create necessary processes
o Coordinate content capture requirements across venues, events, food, styling and guest experience
o Work closely with Planning, Sales, Kitchen and Operations teams to ensure strong internal alignment and execution
o Develop clear briefs and coordinate external photographers, videographers and multimedia specialists where premium content production is required
o Proactively develop and pitch strategically aligned content ideas that support campaign objectives, strengthen brand presence, and drive engagement and commercial outcomes
o Manage and work with key external stakeholders, suppliers, brands to coordinate aligned social media promotion for key events and initiatives
* Asset Management & Brand Standards
o Build and maintain a centralised content and digital asset library
o Ensure content is accessible and suitable for campaigns, website, sales collateral and case studies
o Identify content gaps across venues and event types and proactively coordinate content capture
o Actively reach out to external parties to source content for SEG to amplify
o Monitor and analyse competitor activity and industry trends to ensure SEG content remains visually competitive and aligned to premium market expectations

* Growth in followers and engagement across key platforms
* Effective management of internal and external stakeholders to deliver strong commercial results for SEG
* Consistency and quality of content across all venues
* Delivery of campaign and content requirements within agreed timelines
* Growth and quality of venue asset libraries
* Contribution to website traffic, enquiries and campaign performance (where trackable)

Reports to: Senior Marketing and Communications Manager
Works closely with:
Digital Marketing Manager, Sales & Business Development teams, Planning and Operations teams, External photographers, videographers and content creators, Venue‐based teams
Key Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media, Communications, or relevant field or equivalent industry experience
* Minimum 5 years industry experience in social media management, digital marketing or content creation roles
* Experience working in a commercial sales environment in a similar industry such as hospitality, events, arts and culture, lifestyle or retail is preferred
* Ability to create premium visual content aligned to hospitality, events or lifestyle brands
* Experience developing and executing social media strategies across multiple accounts and creating premium visual content
* Robust understanding of social media platforms, content trends, best‐use practices and audience engagement
* Strong organisational, communication and coordination skills
* Experience coordinating external stakeholders and managing multiple priorities
* Experience with social media management tools such as Hubspot
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and other cloud‐based tools
* Basic design proficiency using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
* Video editing skills using tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro or Final Cut
