We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer (Teaching Focused) in Clinical Education to join our collaborative and innovative team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified medical professional with a strong interest in education to contribute meaningfully to the learning and development of the next generation of medical practitioners. You will play a key role in the design, delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of learning and assessment activities within our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
As a Teaching Focused academic, your primary focus will be on delivering high‐quality, student‐centred learning experiences, while also engaging in scholarly and service activities that support the School's educational mission.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging, innovative, and evidence-based clinical education content for the Doctor of Medicine program.
* Act as a course convenor and contribute to academic leadership and curriculum development.
* Support high‐quality learning outcomes through technology‐enhanced and authentic learning practices.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success and well‐being.
* Participate in scholarly activities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in medical education.
Qualifications
* A medical degree from a recognised educational institution.
* Ahpra registration or possession of an Aphra registrable clinical qualification.
* Experience teaching in an undergraduate or postgraduate medical programme in academia and/or teaching medical students in clinical settings.
* Possession of a masters or doctoral qualification of equivalent accreditation and standing and/or professional fellowship (e.g., FRACGP, FACRRM, FRACP); and/or progress towards completion of a doctoral degree or professional fellowship is highly desirable.
Salary Range
The full‐time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $117,076 – $139,031 per annum + 17 % superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136,979 – $162,667 per annum.
Location
Position based at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute and the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. 0.2‐FTE fractional appointments may also be considered.
