Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook and present a variety of café meals, savoury items and ready-to-serve food products
* Follow recipes, portion control and workplace procedures
* Assist with preparation of sandwiches, pies, pastries, fillings and other bakery/café items
* Maintain food quality, freshness and presentation standards
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and rotation of ingredients.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area
* Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
* Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery highly regarded
* Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
* Ability to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required
* Reliable, hardworking and able to work under pressure
* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to follow recipes, instructions and workplace standards
