Early Learning Centre Manager – Maryborough
Lead a Purpose-Driven, Play-Based Service. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Centre Director to lead a well-supported early learning service in regional Maryborough, Victoria. About the Role. As Centre Director, you will take ownership of the overall operations of the service, leading a team of dedicated educators and working closely with the Educational Leader to deliver high-quality programs. This is a hands‐on leadership role, balancing operational excellence with a strong focus on pedagogy, team development, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the overall management and daily operations of the centre, including staffing, enrolments, and administration
* Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Standards, and Child Safe Standards
* Drive high‐quality play‐based and intentional teaching programs aligned with best practice and approved frameworks
* Provide pedagogical leadership in collaboration with the Educational Leader to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
* Manage, mentor, and support educators through professional development and performance management
* Oversee staffing, rostering, and workforce planning
* Manage centre operations including occupancy, budgets, and financial oversight
* Lead the development and ongoing implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and continuous improvement initiatives
* Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and the local community
* Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and positive team culture that values reflection, innovation, and continuous growth
Requirements:
* Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership position
* Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and Child Safe Standards
* Experience leading teams and supporting educator development
* Understanding of budgeting, financial management, and service operations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to build strong partnerships with families, educators, and the wider community
