Excellent Opportunity for Data Governance Analysts!Opportunity to work for a Utilities company!!Duration: 6-monthWork Arrangement: HybridLocation: Mitcham, VictoriaRates: $600 + SuperYour new roleThe Data Governance Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of data governance practices across the organisation. This role operates within the Enterprise Data and Analytics team and plays a key part in advancing data governance capabilities to support two major strategic initiatives.AccountabilitiesContribute to data migration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accurate and complete data transfer.Collect and document business and data requirements through stakeholder engagement, including interviews, workshops, and process analysis.Perform comprehensive testing and validation to maintain data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.Support the Data Governance Manager with data assessments, including profiling, classification, lineage analysis, custodianship mapping, sensitivity validation, and issue management.Identify gaps in existing data processes and recommend training or project-based solutions to enhance data governance capabilities.Support the implementation and management of data governance tools and technologies and interpret data profiling results to identify data quality issues such as missing, default, or inconsistent values.What you'll need to succeedDemonstrated Data and/or Information management experience, ideally 3 to 5 years.Experience at developing business and IT aligned data governance processes, requirements and roadmapsExperience at undertaking data impact assessments and delivering on data management requirementsDemonstrated experience working directly with business units as a Data SME, mapping processes, identifying opportunities, and helping identify and solve data issuesStrong working knowledge of data management and governance practicesStrong understanding of data protection regulations and compliance requirements such as NIST, PDP, Public Records Act, SOCIExperience with data governance tools and metadata management systems such as Alation and purview will be advantageousExperience with SQL and other data querying languages is highly desirableRelevant Certification in Data ManagementWhat you need to do nowIf this sounds like you, please click 'Apply Now', or please send your updated CV to Revathy.Prabulingam@hays.com.au
