The key duties of the position include The Role We are on the lookout for an experienced Web Administrator to join the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Group in Defence. You will be part of our digital engagement team and instrumental in progressing GWEO Group's digital communication agenda. You will be a team player with exceptional attention to detail and a great work ethic, who can work with the team to elevate the standard of content on our websites and intranets, so they are a trusted source of information for both internal and external audiences. This position requires a high level of accuracy, exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Demonstrated resilience working in a high-pressure environment is also essential. About our Team The Communication, Events and Committees team is part of Business Support Services in the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Group in Defence. The team provides innovative, best practice advice and support, ensuring information reaches the right people, using the right channel, at the right time. Our team has responsibility for internal and external communication, including websites, intranets, graphic design, publications and forms, corporate publications, content management and communication strategy and events. Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidates would have a range of web administration and management skills with experience in Drupal and SharePoint content management systems. They will be highly motivated, have high levels of administrative and organisation abilities and excellent attention to detail. Applicants will need to demonstrate: Development and management of digital channels including compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and Digital Service Standards. Management of web project tasks and web support requests. High level stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on user experience. Strong commitment to web standards and delivery of user experience products. Ability to think innovatively and show experience in the use of digital communication channels. Ability to innovate positively on the improvement of the Defence web environment and primary internal communication channel. Ability to work with autonomously and be accountable for the achievement and outcomes for their work.
