DBA Accountants is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Stirling.
We are looking for a motivated, highly professional person who will be responsible for providing high-quality tax and accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare and review financial statements and ATO returns
* Provide professional tax planning and advisory services to help clients achieve their goals
* Analyse financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve clients' financial performance
* Collaborate with clients, internal team members, and other stakeholders to ensure professional delivery of accounting services
* Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, and communicate their impact to clients
* Mentor and train junior accounting staff to develop their skills and expertise
* Contribute to the firm's continuous improvement initiatives and help enhance the quality of services
What we're looking for
* A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) or working towards one
* Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar accounting role within a public practice accounting firm
* In-depth knowledge of tax legislation, accounting standards, and best practices in the taxation domain
* Working knowledge of MYOB, Xero and Quickbooks essential. Working knowledge of Handisoft preferable.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide insightful financial advice
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
* Proven track record of mentoring and developing junior accounting professionals
* Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments
