What You’ll Be Doing
* Play a key role in a tight-knit engineering team (23), building systems for scale, speed, and resilience.
* Building backend functionality and features with GoLang
* Review systems for consistency, error handling, and engineering patterns that set the standard, not follow it.
* Collaborate with product and design while maintaining high autonomy
* Tech stack includes AWS Lambda, ECS (Fargate), API Gateway, Golang, Node.js, Python, and Terraform.
What You Bring
* A backend or infrastructure-first mindset - you know how code works and how to optimise it in production.
* Detail-oriented and methodical; you spot gaps, remove inefficiencies, and clean up messes.
* Deep knowledge of backend architecture and cloud infrastructure.
* An independent thinker who thrives outside the herd - proactive and comfortable owning outcomes.
* Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and enterprise patterns.
* You’ve thrived in small teams where delivery and quality go hand-in-hand - this isn't a role padded with busywork.
