Job Title: Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Analyst
A highly significant Defence technology position awaits you in Australia's effort to acquire new Electronic Warfare capabilities.
This role involves analysing high tech Defence Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and EW proposals, providing evidence-based advice to ensure alignment with Defence's strategic guidance and Government direction.
As an Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) Analyst Joint Electronic Warfare Directorate, you will require a high level of analytical skills and excellent stakeholder engagement abilities.
Closely engage with Defence project sponsors and managers to understand developing technology and approaches, and advise on Defence and Government requirements for project approval.
About Our Team
The Joint Information Warfare Branch is an integrated team of military, civilians, and contractors contributing to the development of the Joint Force. The Branch consists of three Directorates—Electronic Warfare, Cyber, and Influence Activities.
Joint EW operates in a high-paced environment with varied work across multiple activities. Work can be demanding at times with ADF expectations, program milestones, and committee representation scheduled for EW outputs and projects.
Our team is responsible for communicating emerging Joint EW policies, plans, and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders including international allies and partners, industry, and other Government Departments.
We conduct extensive stakeholder engagement, presenting complex initiatives and planning proposals, securing agreement, and participating in the implementation of various EW initiatives.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to verbally brief complex technical issues to senior executives in plain English and explain complex ideas succinctly.
* Demonstrated ability to proactively and consistently meet deadlines and ensure delivery against objectives.
