Offer description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail‐oriented professional to provide administrative and coordination support within the Corporate Issues function, with a focus on managing Ministerial, Freedom of Information and Director General correspondence. In this role, you will support the preparation, tracking and reporting of documentation through the Corporate and Ministerial System (CAMS), ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with Government requirements. You will play a key role in coordinating input across divisions, assisting in the preparation of high‐quality Ministerial, Freedom of Information and Director General correspondence, reports and briefings, and maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders and Ministerial Offices.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written communication skills, with proven experience in drafting, analysing and proofreading correspondence and reports to a high standard. You will have working knowledge of ministerial workflow and document management systems (such as Microsoft Power Apps and Objective), along with an understanding of Government and Parliamentary processes, including the Freedom of Information Act. With well‐developed interpersonal and communication skills, you will confidently liaise with stakeholders at all levels, delivering a responsive and high‐quality customer service. You will also bring strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities, with the capacity to exercise sound judgement and manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment.

Qualifications
* Well‐developed written communication skills, including proven ability to collate and analyse information, draft correspondence, prepare reports and proofread the work of others.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps (or similar ministerial workflow system) and Objective (or similar document management system).
* Demonstrated knowledge of Government, Parliamentary and Legislative processes as well as the Freedom of Information Act.
* Well‐developed interpersonal and oral communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively at senior management level.
* Well‐developed analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgement within established guidelines.
Eligibility

To be eligible to work permanently at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen, have Permanent Residency status or hold a current visa with permanent working rights in Australia.
