What You'll Be Doing
This newly created Sales & Operations Officer role is a hybrid position, blending customer service, account management, and field sales. Reporting to Customer Service lead, you'll manage national inquiries, process orders, liaise with production/design teams, and handle on‐site warehouse responsibilities. Partner closely with a high‐performing State Manager and accelerate your growth. This is a long‐term opportunity with potential to grow into business development and account management responsibilities.
Your Areas of Impact
* 60% Internal sales / Customer Service + 35% External Sales (~35% of the role) + 5% Warehousing
* Customer Service & Account Management: Handle national inbox, respond to inquiries, process quotations, and support mid‐tier clients.
* External Sales: Identify opportunities, schedule appointments, and meet clients on the road. Clients industries include Food and Beverage, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Mining, Construction, Rail and Distribution.
* Warehouse Management: Support onsite logistics, including pallet handling and forklift operations when required.
* Operational Oversight: Open the Perth office, make independent daily decisions, and support weekly sales and operations meetings.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Sydney Customer Service team, production, design, and supply chain to ensure smooth operations.
* Process Improvement & Administration: Manage special projects, process orders, and support operational workflows.
What You Bring
* Experience in customer service in industrial manufacturing or technical products. Sales experience is a bonus.
* An active driver's license. Forklift license is a bonus.
* Self‐motivated, reactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Comfort with using ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Comfortable managing a mix of admin, operations, and sales responsibilities.
* Technical exposure is a plus, but no engineering qualification required.
