About the Role
We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a junior solicitor to join our dynamic Sydney Banking and Finance practice. You will work with a high-performing group of lawyers on a mix of banking and finance transactional work and financial services regulatory work. We are predominantly a loan markets practice and advise corporate and institutional lenders and borrowers on various debt arrangements. Whilst we are ever-increasingly acting for Dentons global clients on cross border matters, we have an unwavering commitment to our Australian clients who include major Australian banks as well a number of private lenders, investment managers and private developers.
Our award-winning credit and financial services regulatory practice is involved in advising credit and financial services clients on all aspects of regulation and compliance. Areas of focus include advising in relation to the Corporations Act, NCCP Act, AML/CTF Act, Privacy Act, ASIC Act, SIS Act, PPS Act, and the Competition and Consumer Act.
This team is a close, social and collaborative bunch who are not siloed so you will work across all clients and with all of the Partners, who are all approachable, genuine and experts in their field.
About You
* have at least 12 months of relevant Australian post admission legal experience gained preferably in front end banking matters, and up to 2 years' post admission experience overall
* possess a strong work ethic and desire to consistently exceed client expectations from a product and service level
* demonstrate eagerness to be part of a high-performing team with a strong business focus
* have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytic skills and a desire to expand your legal and commercial skills
* be able to demonstrate resilience working in a high pressure, demanding environmentthe ability to work both autonomously as well as in a team environment; and
* be available to work in the office every day
