Job Description
The Process Engineer, Extrusion to Reel is responsible for leading process engineering within their area to meet safety, GMP, quality and cost targets. Key responsibilities include:
* Establishing and maintaining robust operating windows and process conditions to achieve optimal product quality.
* Capturing, standardising and sharing process knowledge through effective procedures and working practices.
* Driving reductions in manufacturing costs through loss analysis, speed improvements, quality enhancement and increased equipment availability.
* Providing technical, engineering and maintenance support to production teams.
* Supporting R&D, capital, maintenance and reliability projects, including preparation of CAPEX submissions.
* Applying structured problem solving methodologies such as RCA, A3, Lean and Six Sigma to reduce process variability and improve performance.
* Managing supplier and contractor relationships in line with site procedures and engineering standards.
* Promoting a strong culture of safety, GMP compliance, professionalism and engineering excellence.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Process Engineer MUST have:
* A degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Experience in GMP regulated or FMCG environments.
* Strong mechanical knowledge (or electrical)
* Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
* Previous experience in process engineering for a manufacturing site.
