About This Opportunity
School of the Environment – Faculty of Science – full‐time (100%) fixed‐term position until 1 July 2028. Base salary range $95,361.62 – $102,302.92 plus 17% super (HEW Level6). Based at StLucia Campus.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver a range of administrative processes and activities in consultation with the International Partner Programs Coordinator to meet identified business requirements.
* Plan and implement high‐quality administrative systems, SOPs and office protocols supporting the International Programs unit.
* Provide expertise in a range of desktop‐based programs and management information systems.
* Respond to complex or non‐routine inquiries requiring interpretation of policy, procedures and entitlements.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships that support operational objectives.
* Undertake financial administration responsibilities, including exercising financial delegation and processing payments in accordance with University policy.
* Coordinate travel arrangements, including field‐trip planning, travel administration and post‐travel reconciliation, ensuring compliance with UQ health, safety and wellness protocols.
* Contribute to the delivery of events and engagement activities aligned with course schedules.
About You
* Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise; or equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
* Demonstrated customer‐service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Adobe Suite (including InDesign) regarded as highly valued.
* Office‐management skills and capability.
* Ability to understand and apply a range of rules, policies and processes relevant to student academics and administration.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Project‐coordination experience.
* Highly developed organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail, accuracy and the capacity to prioritise workload, solve problems and meet strict deadlines.
* Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or rapid acquisition of this knowledge.
Employment Conditions
Full‐time, fixed‐term position until 1July2028. Base salary range $95,361.62 – $102,302.92 + 17% super (HEW Level6). Travel and occasional work beyond standard hours may be required.
