About the Role

Reporting to the Home Team Manager, the Home Claims Consultant manages home claims enquiries, delivering excellent customer service through empathetic support and accurate guidance while adhering to cost control strategies.

Responsibilities

* Manage day‐to‐day customer enquiries and insurance claims, providing empathetic, professional support and clear claim resolutions.
* Process Home claims in line with policies and procedures, including coverage assessments, claim decisions, and accurate guidance on next steps.
* Maintain and review claim reserves proactively, ensuring claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and within delegated authority limits.
* Identify and manage potential fraudulent claims while ensuring compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, and service standards.
* Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, resolving complaints promptly and maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

* Strong knowledge of claims practices, insurance products, and policy interpretation.
* Ability to interpret company policies, procedures, and guidelines with high attention to detail.
* Strong customer focus with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Effective time management, planning, and organisational skills.
* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and claims/mainframe systems experience.
* Sound judgement, decision‐making ability, and relevant industry experience.
