Rehabilitation Medicine Registrar – Doctors in Training Recruitment Campaign 2027

Position: Medical Practitioner Level 5‑11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar) under the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.
Salary: $134,930 – $189,005 per annum, in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.
Employment type: Fixed‑term, full‑time (76 hours per fortnight, plus 10 hours protected training time pro‑rate) from 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028.
Location
The Royal Hobart Hospital – Rehabilitation Medicine Department. Registrars will rotate through inpatient wards, outpatient services and procedural units, including ultrasound‑guided injection of botulinum toxin.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Registrar is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of inpatients and outpatients and for providing after‑hours emergency cover on a rostered on‑call basis.
* Maintain general or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Hold current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration where required.
Access to a comprehensive training program with protected teaching time, clinical support and supervision from the Rehabilitation Physicians team.
Qualifications
Eligible to apply at the end of PGY2. Successful completion of pre‑employment checks including:
* Criminal conviction checks (Violence, Sex‑related offences, serious drug offences, dishonesty).
* Identification check.
* Disciplinary action check from previous employment.
