The FoodLAB is hiring a Full‐time Kitchen Hand in Broome, WA. This is a long‐term, full‐time contract role lasting at least two years. The base salary is $72,500 per year plus superannuation (expected salary range $70,000 – $76,000 per year). A work visa will be provided for the successful candidate.

* 1 year of relevant work experience required
* Certificate III in Culinary or similar (or equivalent). Knowledge of Italian cuisine is a plus.
* Must have good working ethic, ability to work under pressure, flexibility. Roster will be 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:
* Assist with basic food preparation as directed (washing, peeling, chopping, portioning, mise en place support).
* Support chefs during service by restocking ingredients and assisting with simple plating/handovers under supervision.
* Operate dishwashing area and clean, sanitise, store kitchen equipment and utensils.
* Maintain kitchen hygiene by cleaning and sanitising benches, work areas, floors, sinks, bins, and equipment during and after service.
* Follow food safety and hygiene procedures, including safe food handling and cross‐contamination prevention.
* Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, including labelling and rotating stock and correct storage in cool room/freezer/dry storage.
* Comply with WHS requirements, including safe manual handling and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
