Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Tweed, NSW. The Support Worker will assist clients with day-to-day activities, including personal care, community engagement, and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Responsibilities include providing emotional support, ensuring safety and safeguarding practices, and promoting independence in clients' lives. The role may also involve liaising with other professionals to deliver an integrated approach to care.
Qualifications
* Experience in support work and an understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities.
* Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities to build meaningful connections with clients and their support networks.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and the ability to ensure the safety and welfare of clients at all times.
* Technical skills for record-keeping, handling care plans, and other support-related documentation.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification, along with a valid driver's license.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with strong organizational skills.
* Experience with NDIS systems and familiarity with mental health practices are advantageous.
