This is a hands‐on operational role where your experience, judgement, and ability to build trust will genuinely make a difference every day.
About the role
This role sits within our national Health, Safety & Wellbeing function and will partner closely with our Safety Manager to deliver proactive, people‐first injury management support across the business. You'll take ownership of the end-to-end injury management process, from early intervention and triage through to claims management and return‐to‐work coordination, helping create better outcomes for employees while improving how we work behind the scenes.
This role is designed to offer genuine flexibility. We're looking for someone available across 5 days per week, with compact daily hours that can suit a school‐hours arrangement (approximately 25-32 hours per week / 0.6-0.8 FTE).
It could be the perfect fit for someone wanting meaningful, professional work while balancing family or lifestyle commitments.
You'll also have flexibility to work from our Collingwood, St Kilda Road, or Notting Hill office locations, alongside hybrid working options.
In your first few months, you'll:
* Become the first point of contact for workplace injuries and incidents across the business
* Manage injury cases from initial notification through to resolution and return‐to‐work outcomes
* Coordinate closely with injured workers, managers, insurers, medical providers, and rehabilitation partners
* Support proactive early intervention strategies focused on reducing lost time and improving recovery outcomes
* Maintain accurate records, claims documentation, and injury management reporting
* Work closely with the Safety Manager to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
* Assist with broader health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives where required
Over time, you'll also have the opportunity to help improve the way injury management operates across the organisation, contributing to smarter systems, stronger early intervention practices, and more efficient processes.
