Be among the first 25 applicants. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and dynamic individual to join the Social Policy group in the Justice branch as Executive Assistant at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
As the Executive Assistant you will join the team supporting advice to the Premier on a range of emerging, high profile justice portfolio matters. The core duties include providing executive support to Directors/Executive Directors and administrative/project support to DPC's Justice and Community Security and Emergency Management branches. Duties include providing high quality administrative and secretariat support (for Cabinet committee meetings for example), stakeholder liaison, management of correspondence and briefing processes, finance and other office support. The role will flexibly support branches across the Social Policy (SP) group as required.
To be successful in this position you will have a robust background in executive support, with demonstrated experience providing a broad range of services to executives and as part of a team. You will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and be highly organised. Your ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure will ensure success in this fast-paced role.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive support to Directors/Executive Directors and administrative/project support to DPC's Justice and Community Security and Emergency Management branches.
- Provide high quality administrative and secretariat support (e.g., for Cabinet committee meetings).
- Stakeholder liaison, management of correspondence and briefing processes, and general office support including finance tasks.
- Flexibly support branches across the Social Policy group as required.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in supporting preparation of briefs, letters, emails and reports.
- Proven experience in identifying key stakeholders of an issue/project and managing/monitoring client satisfaction.
- Demonstrated experience applying organisational processes, policies and procedures and upholding public sector accountability.
- Highly developed service excellence skills with experience in executive support, focusing on client needs.
- Experience with software programs such as SharePoint, FinCloud and briefing systems.
