The Design Manager (Civil) is responsible for providing consultancy and engineering services in the Water and Wastewater market in the ANZ region. The role will assist with project delivery, design management, and project management, and will help position and win projects involving a range of services. The successful candidate will support commercial, project management, engineering, and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate a range of projects. The role also supports leaders of the water and wastewater team, in terms of team development and growth, building design capability and expanding the section portfolio, and works with Global Delivery Centres to improve Global Integrated Delivery capability and meet targets.
Responsibilities
* Deliver technically excellent designs and consultancy services.
* Lead project delivery on cost and time to achieve client satisfaction.
* Assist with driving business development and winning work.
* Identify and support pursuit of future opportunities.
* Develop and maintain strong key client relationship.
* Represent the team at client meetings and events.
* Collaborate closely with Jacobs client management team to identify emerging opportunities with clients.
* Further develop Project Manager and Designated Project Executive (DPE) skills.
* Develop design management functions on projects.
* Maintain compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process.
* Facilitate the technical development of more junior resources to meet market requirements.
* Engage with high performers in a team environment to facilitate knowledge sharing and coaching.
* Promote safety culture within the organisation and with our clients; support the Performance Unit to thrive in a global setting and encourage cross‐geography relationships.
