About the role
Working locally, state‐wide, and nationally with other member and volunteer staff, this role builds organisational capability to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members. This role will play a critical role in ensuring that our relationships and communications both externally and internally are relevant, strong, and mutually beneficial.
Supported by the Senior Manager, the officer will ensure representation of the volunteer and members' voice is captured and heard within the organisation and will deliver ways to improve their experience as well as supporting them in their State/Territory.
What you will bring
* Work with the wider Member & Volunteer team to contribute towards the objectives and deliverables as outlined in the volunteer strategy & member growth plans to enhance the current experience of and grow the number of volunteers and members at Red Cross.
* Primarily responsible for attracting, engaging and retaining new and diverse volunteers and members by actively participating in community events, meeting with potential organisations or businesses and assisting with targeted marketing efforts.
* Provide administrative and events management support to the Senior Manager, State Director responsible for Member and Volunteering as well as Senior Manager, Member & Volunteering on key initiatives and projects.
* Create a culture of best practice for volunteers and members through engagement, recognition, retention evaluation and capacity building.
* Drive engagement and communication outputs across Red Cross communities in your State/Territory by delivering and sharing stories, newsletter content and promotion ideas with the Marketing/Communication teams.
