About Our Client
We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to provide day-to-day People & Culture support across a portfolio of around 200 employees. You'll be supporting a well-established, values-driven organisation delivering community and social services, where teams work in complex and often emotionally demanding environments. Working closely with managers, you'll support recruitment, performance management, and general employee matters, helping keep operations running smoothly.
Job Description
What you'll do
* Provide practical HR advice to managers across a services portfolio
* Support recruitment processes (job descriptions, interviews, coordination)
* Assist with performance management, including PIPs and probation reviews
* Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and grievances (non-complex)
* Interpret and apply Awards, policies, and procedures in a unionised environment, escalating more complex IR/ER matters as needed
* Help resolve day-to-day workplace issues to keep teams operating effectively
The Successful Applicant
What you'll bring (non-negotiables)
* 2-5 years' experience in an HR Advisory or similar role
* Solid working knowledge of Australian IR/ER processes and Awards
* Experience working in or exposure to a unionised environment (preferred)
* Experience supporting performance management and handling employee issues
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy, operational workload
* Confident using HR systems (ELMO experience preferred)
* NFP experience is preferred
