Job Responsibilities:
* Lead safety initiatives and develop safety programs to promote a safety-first culture
* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement
* Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure WHS obligations are understood and met
* Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
* Provide training and guidance to staff on safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Health or similar related fields or extensive experience in WHS
* SafeWork Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
* TAE40122 - Certificate in Training and Assessment
* Strong experience in a similar site-based construction and Local Government role
* Drug and Alcohol Testing Certification, or willingness to attain
* Investigation Certification for Lead Investigators (ICAM or similar), or willingness to attain
* Lead Auditing Certification, or willingness to attain
* Tickets in plant operation, working at heights, and confined spaces
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
