Position Overview
Chef role at Lake Keepit location, Tamworth. Casual work type with 25% loading and 12% Super. Shift-dependent accommodation available. Complimentary meals and professional uniforms included.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation, bulk cooking, and presentation of meals to consistently high standard across a variety of group settings.
* Cater for large school groups, corporate functions, and general day-to-day guests.
* Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and allergen controls, especially when catering for children.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and presentation in line with HACCP and internal guidelines.
Qualifications
* Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
* Food Safety Supervisor certification (highly regarded).
* Working with children check or willing to get one.
* Proven experience in bulk or high-volume cooking environments (service-ready and calm under pressure).
* Strong understanding of allergen management and dietary needs, particularly in settings involving children.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both junior and senior kitchen staff.
* Ability to work nights, weekends & peak periods.
