Job Title
We are seeking individuals to fill the role of Transport Supporter.
This role is designed to support older Australians and people experiencing transport disadvantage by enabling attendance at medical appointments, social outings, and essential errands.
The service provides companionship and helps maintain independence and community connection.
Key Responsibilities
* Transport clients safely and courteously.
* Provide assistance with mobility aids and help clients board and alight safely.
* Engage in conversations and activities appropriate to the client or group.
* Maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy and dignity.
* Record timely and accurate documentation of interactions with clients.
* Uphold professional boundaries to safeguard the well-being of clients and volunteers.
Requirements
* Current full Australian driver's licence and an excellent driving record.
* Ability to operate vehicles and assist clients with mobility aids.
* National Police Check (arranged through Red Cross).
* Additional checks as required by state/territory will be notified during onboarding and assisted by Red Cross.
* Statutory Declaration if you have been a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than Australia after turning 16.
