This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in supporting both the kitchen and events teams. You'll act as the key link between catering preparation and event delivery by ensuring all equipment, supplies, and food items are accurately packed, labelled, and transported on time. This role also involves assisting with on-site drop offs, maintaining catering inventory, and ensuring company vehicles and storage areas are clean, safe, and event-ready at all times.
* Prepare and manage catering equipment checklists, ensuring all items are accurately packed into vans ready for transportation.
* Coordinate with the head chef to ensure all food items are picked, packed, and labeled correctly for each event.
* Drop off the required stock at locations and assist with set up if required
* Maintain adequate inventory of catering supplies and equipment
* Read the event runsheet and order stock accordingly
* Ensure company transport vehicles are well maintained and ready for use - Washed, cleaned, sufficient petrol levels
* Ensure company transport vehicles are serviced in line with the vehicle recommendations
* General kitchen preparation and storage support
* General office maintenance / cleanliness
* Ordering stock
* Purchase and pick up alcohol for events
* Ensure the storage area is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
* Quality assurance for all outgoing deliveries and presentations
* Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, handling, and transportation regulations
Qualifications
* Highly organised
* Ability to lift and carry up to 5kg
* Strong understanding of health and safety and food regulations
* Valid Drivers Licence
