Position Overview
The Senior Lecturer, Academic Development (Level C) is based at Adelaide University, Adelaide Campus. It is a full‐time, fixed‐term role until 31 December 2026, with a salary range of $140,127 – $161,145 per annum plus 17 % superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership in learning and teaching, working collaboratively with academic and professional staff to enhance curriculum, improve student outcomes and embed innovative, inclusive and technology‐enabled educational practices at scale.
* Offer strategic advice, contribute to academic development initiatives and support the continuous improvement of programmes, including online and on‐campus offerings.
* Provide academic expertise and a scholarly focus on a range of learning and teaching issues across multiple disciplinary areas.
* Support regular academic development opportunities within Teaching and Learning Innovation (TLI) and across the broader University.
Qualifications
* A doctoral qualification and demonstrated extensive experience related to teaching and learning in higher education.
Experience
* High level expertise in the design and development of curriculum for on‐campus, blended and online learning contexts that engages diverse cohorts of learners.
* Leadership and people‐management skills, with a team orientation.
* Commitment to professional development and learning and teaching in higher education.
* Strong understanding and familiarity with learning theories and practices in higher education, with evidence of scholarship and emphasis on the use of technologies to support student learning.
* Strategic ability to work with a wide variety of College‐based staff and disciplinary areas within University structures, policies and processes to support Adelaide University priorities.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills for working with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
* Extensive experience leading multiple concurrent teaching and learning projects.
* Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learning and teaching in higher education.
* Research outcomes reflecting a growing national profile in an area of education specialisation (e.g., academic and professional literacies, learning sciences, assessment, technology‐enhanced learning, evaluation methodologies, learning analytics or work‐integrated learning) and contributing to TLI's research in these areas.
* Commitment to equity and social justice within a tertiary education context.
Desirable Qualifications
* Qualifications and significant experience in Higher Education, specifically Curriculum and Education Studies, or a closely related field.
* Experience implementing project‐management methodologies and documentation processes in the education context.
