The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager – Australia, the State Manager position carries full P&L responsibility and accountability for driving business performance across the state. Your primary focus will be leading sales growth, whilst ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining outstanding customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute the SA business plan in alignment with company values and strategic objectives
* Manage cost structures to achieve full year-end financial targets
* Deliver consistent year-on-year sales growth
* Develop and strengthen relationships with key customer decision-makers to increase share of wallet
* Provide strong leadership and mentorship to Sales, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams
* Foster collaborative relationships within the SMYA Group
The Successful Candidate will bring
* Highly self‐motivated, strong sales background and proven commercial acumen
* Demonstrated experience managing P&L performance
* A clear understanding of traded product margins, supply chain operations, and plastics manufacturing
* The ability to multitask and deliver results in a fast‐paced environment
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong mentoring capability and sales leadership experience
* Experience within packaging, FMCG, or a related industry will be highly regarded
