About the opportunity
The Allied Health department provides services to both inpatient and community programs. The team consists of physiotherapists, OTs, dietitian, speech pathologist, social workers and Allied Health Assistants. This position requires a dynamic OT to work within Mercy Health which provides services to the older person in our community therapy, palliative care, GEM and transitional aged care units.
* Bachelor or Masters in Occupational Therapy (essential).
* Provide assessment and interventions for older clients using evidence-based practice, working with a multidisciplinary team.
* Understanding of complex care for older people and interest in the aged population - including equipment prescription, home modifications, cognitive changes.
